FoxSports.com online boxing reporter Mark Kriegel interviewed legendary trainer of Manny Pacquiao, Freddie Roach at the wild card gym in Hollywood, California.
Roach gives his input on the upcoming Manny Pacquiao vs. Oscar De La Hoya Super-fight on December 6, 2008 in Las Vegas, Nevada at MGM grand Resort and Casino.
A supremely confident Roach believes his Filipino pride and joy also known as the Pacman will knock Oscar out, he has inside info having trained the East LA native for his fight with undefeated Floyd Mayweather Jr last year.
‘Manny will KO Oscar’ Roach tells Kriegal. Pacquiao is an underdog going into the fight but the betting lines will get closer as the fight nears, with bets being laid down for Pacquiao, but a stoppage will be a long shot.
A former flyweight fighter who just recently climbed to 135 pounds knocking out a fighter at 147 pounds who is much bigger and stronger and never been stopped before is a reach, but Roach believes in his fighter 100 percent.
The event will appear live on HBO Pay-Per-View billed “The Dream Fight” pitting the much smaller pound for pound king going up two weight divisions to take on the cash cow Golden Boy Oscar De La Hoya.
