Actor/Host Mario Lopez discusses Freddie Roach with boxer Manny “PacMan” Pacquiao. Roach is Pacquiao’s current trainer and a former trainer of Oscar De La Hoya and the two will meet in the ring in December for a Dream Fight showdown between Pacquiao and De La Hoya.
Pacquiao who recently beat David Diaz for the WBC lightweight title is now going up two weight classes to 147 lbs the welterweight division to face “The Golden Boy” Oscar De La Hoya in a David versus Goliath type event.
Pacquiao who stands only 5 foot 5 inches tall and mostly campaigned in the featherweight division but started his career at 106 pounds, will be undersized against the 5 foot 10 inches tall De La Hoya who has fought as high as middleweight and settled in at 154 pounds.
Will the speed and youth of Pacquiao prevail against the size and strength of De La Hoya? or will the jump in weight be too much for the Filipino southpaw and he gets stopped and heads back down to lightweight?
De La Hoya-Pacquaio 24/7 airs every Sunday starting November 16th at 8:30 PM ET/PT. The finale airs Thursday, December 4th at 8:30 PM ET/PT–only on HBO.
