Its the end of “Golden Boy” era, as Manny Pacquiao defeated Oscar De La Hoya in a stunning upset. Pacquiao started off strong and did not seem to tire throughout the fight. De La Hoya on the other hand, looked old and outclassed, and could only last eight rounds before his team decided to throw in the towel. This fight is sure to propel Manny Pacquiao into a new level of fame, as one of the world’s top fighters. In the post fight interview, De La Hoya was gracious and a true sportsman by giving Pacquaio the full credit he deserves, however his words also hinted that he may be headed for retirement.
