RICK STAHELI, the American trainer who helped Manny Pacquaio become world champion, predicts Vic Darchinyan will have little trouble retaining his three super-flyweight belts against Jorge Arce this weekend – but he doubts the Sydneysider would be as successful if he got his wish of a bout with the pound-for-pound king.
Since winning his first world title in 2004, Darchinyan has been pursuing a fight with Pacquaio, and he continued to talk up the prospect at yesterday’s weigh-in at a Los Angeles shopping mall.
Eyeballing Arce’s promoter, Bob Arum, who also manages Pacquaio along with middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik and welterweight Miguel Cotto, Darchinyan said: “Keep on bringing your good fighters. I’ll demolish them all.”…Full Story
