Manny Pacquiao’s trainer Freddie Roach has made a bold prediction for Saturday’s fight.
He says Pacquiao will KO Ricky Hatton within 3 rounds. It would be a shock if his prediction comes true on May 2 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Many boxing observers believe Hatton might be too big and too strong for the former featherweight kingpin.
Before his fight with Oscar De La Hoya, you would be hard-pressed to find anyone picking the Filipino sensation to TKO the much bigger Golden Boy.
The fight required Pacman to jump up two weight classes from 135 to 147 pounds, lightweight to welterweight.
Oscar looked drained and weak during the fight, he could barely move his arms but some suggest it was the Pacman’s speed and power that immobilized him.
De La Hoya quit on his stool and the fight was called off.
Ricky Hatton is a fresher and stronger opponent, he believes him being a natural 140 pounder will be to his advantage and the win over Oscar was something of a fluke because he beat a shell of a fighter who was drained at the weight.
