The Clones Cyclone and Hall of Fame Irish boxing legend Barry McGuigan, alongside fellow Irish boxers, Paul McCloskey, and Charlie Nash helped launch the Fighting Irishmen: A Celebration of the Celtic Warrior exhibition in Northern Ireland.
The Fighting Irishmen exhibition was successful mainstay at the IAC, Irish Arts Center of New York City and will be overseas for the first time in Ireland on May 28 at the Ulster American Folk Park in Omagh, County Tyrone.
McGuigan officially announced the exhibition at the County Tyrone Museum where it featured rare photographs, memorabilia, stories of the Irish fighters from the 1800s to the modern era, Liam Neeson a former amateur boxer and Hollywood screen legend from Ireland supported the event by giving personal items from his amateur boxing career.
The mummified arm of Irish fighter Dan Donnelly was also on display.
“Fighting Irishmen: Celebrating Celtic Prizefighters 1820 – Present” will be at the Omagh museum until the November 29.
