Los Angeles – Prosecutors will not be seeking charges against former heavyweight boxing champ Mike Tyson or photographer Tony Echeverria after a physical incident at LAX (Los Angeles International Airport).
On Thursday City attorney spokesman Frank Mateljan said the prosecutors found insufficient evidence to pursue charges.
Tyson and photographer Tony Echeverria were arrested on Nov. 11 2009 after the former heavyweight champion was accused of assaulting the photographer.
It was reported of the incident that Echeverria was overly aggressive and harassing Tyson and his family. Tyson felt Echeverria was a threat to his infant daughter and wife even bumping his daughters stroller just to take pictures of Tyson.
Mike Tyson’s attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, said the decision is “A small victory for those who continue to be harassed, annoyed and even stalked by the paparazzi.”
