In an Exclusive interview with David Mayo of The Grand Rapids Press, Floyd Mayweather’s right hand man and CEO of Mayweather Promotions, Leonard Ellerbe, said the Olympic style random blood and urine tests Mayweather Jr. requested Manny Pacquiao to take and what ultimately killed the super fight between Pacquiao and Mayweather will be required for all of Mayweather’s future opponents.
“Whoever fights Floyd Mayweather in the future, that person will be subjected to random blood and urine testing, I don’t care who he fights, that will be the case” Ellerbe told the Grand Rapids Press.
Ellerbe also expressed interest in a possible Floyd Mayweather showdown with long time rival Sugar Shane Mosley. Ellerbe said “If Shane Mosley is available, Floyd would like nothing more than to beat his ass, Floyd has been trying to make that fight for years.”
Shane Mosley who admitted to using EPO and steroids given to him by Balco would have to undergo the same type of randomized blood testing for performance enhancers that the Mayweather camp demanded out of Manny Pacquiao and now require for all their opponents.
If Manny Pacquiao refuses to take random blood tests and Mayweather Jr. never softens his stance on the steroid drug tests the Mayweather vs. Pacquiao fight may never happen even if both fighters get past their next opponents.
