A shocking revelation recently hit the boxing world, when U.K newspaper “The News of The World” released an exclusive undercover report exposing the clean-cut boxing great’s drug use (specifically cocaine) since his 2008 retirement. Calzaghe, for many years was known as a positive role model and ambassador for the sport of boxing, but getting involved with the wrong crowd sent him in a downward spiral of drug use and wild partying.

During the undercover interview, Calzaghe also commented on fellow British boxers, Amir Khan, Ricky Hatton, Prince Naseem Hamed, and Lennox Lewis.
In one comment, Calzaghe said Ricky Hatton was knocked out by a nobody in his last fight, that nobody he was referring to is pound-for-pound king, and 7-weight-division champion, Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao.
Joe Calzaghe had this to say about Lennox Lewis: “I should be number one! Look at his record, 42 won, and two lost. That’s a disgrace. He’s been down twice. I’m the only un-defeated fighter!”
Joe’s father, Enzo Calzaghe, had very harsh words for Amir Khan: “I wouldn’t touch him with a barge pole,” said Enzo. “I don’t want him in my stable. I don’t think he’s a class fighter, he’s manufactured.”
After the story broke, Joe Calzaghe issued an apology for his drug usage, and says he is addressing the problem.
