Pound-for-Pound boxing king, Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao, won’t be fighting Floyd Mayweather Jr. anytime soon. Fresh off his 12-round victory over Joshua Clottey, the Filipino WBO welterweight champion has a big congressional campaign for an election in May and will spend his entire focus on that.
In an article by Manila Bulletin, Pacquiao’s promoter, Bob Arum of Top Rank Promotions, said the earliest Pacquiao will fight is in November.
“It won’t be in October because of the World Series (of Major League Ball) but November,” said Arum on when Pacquiao’s next boxing match will be.
According to Arum, the possible opponents for Manny Pacquiao in November, if Floyd Mayweather Jr. beats Mosley but decides not to ease up on his blood testing stance, would be Antonio Margarito, Edwin Valero or a rubber-match with Juan Manuel Marquez.
“There’s Margarito, Valero, or Marquez,” said Arum.
