Manny Pacquiao’s trainer, Freddie Roach, sits down with ESPN’s Jim Rome to talk boxing. They discuss Pacquiao’s last HBO Pay-per-view versus Joshua Clottey in front of 50,944 fans at the $1.2billion dollar Dallas Cowboys stadium, Pacquiao and Roach’s relationship, Roach’s life as a boxer, and the possibility of a Manny Pacquiao vs. Floyd Mayweather super-fight.
Jim Rome touches on the steroid and blood testing issue that stopped the super fight from happening. Rome presses Roach to get a better understanding behind the reasoning why Team Pacquiao refused to abide by the Olympic style blood testing demands from Golden Boy Promotions and Floyd Mayweather’s camp, and what can be done to make the fight with Mayweather happen in the future.
