The former undisputed welterweight champion of the world, Zab “Super” Judah, signed an exclusive promotional deal with Kathy Duva’s Main Events Promotions. Zab Judah has faced some of the best in boxing from Floyd Mayweather Jr., Miguel Cotto, Joshua Clottey, Kostya Tszyu, Cory Spinks, Micky Ward, and Carlos Baldomir.
Main Events will co-promote alongside Super Judah Promotions, Zab’s promotional company. Judah is returning to the boxing ring in July at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey against an unknown opponent.
Zab Judah had the opportunity to fight junior welterweight champion Timothy Bradley on HBO after Bradley’s scheduled opponent Marcos Maidana pulled out citing back injuries, Judah declined stating that he already had a fight booked. Gary Shaw, Bradley’s promoter claimed Judah wasn’t ready for Tim Bradley and ducked the fight.
There is no opponent yet for Zab Judah’s return to the light welterweight division, but if Judah returns he will be entering one of the most talent rich divisions in boxing with young fighters all under 30 years of age like; Victor Ortiz, Amir Khan, Timothy Bradley, Devon Alexander and Marcos Maidana . At age 32, Zab would be the veteran of the group.
