Floyd Mayweather Jr. was meeting with a teenager for Make-A-Wish Foundation, the 18 year-old Armando Carral who is suffering from Hodgkins disease made a wish to meet Floyd Mayweather Jr., he had another wish and that was to see Floyd Mayweather fight Manny Pacquiao, but that wish was shut down immediately when Floyd Mayweather said he won’t fight in 2010 and is taking a couple years off from boxing.
Armando said he wasn’t hurt that Floyd won’t be fighting Pacquiao anytime soon, but the interviewer was almost saddened by the thought that this fight wouldn’t happen. He continued to press Floyd Mayweather about the fight.
If Floyd Maywather Jr is going to take a few years off from boxing, then the fight the world wants to see may never happen, and the ball is in Mayweather’s court he has the decision to make it happen. Manny Pacquiao wants the fight badly even willing to adhere to the 14 day cutoff for random blood testing. Pacquiao said he is going to retire after one more fight in November and focus on his political career.
If the Mayweather vs. Pacquiao fight doesn’t get made the sport of boxing will take a huge hit.
