According to Yahoo Sports, Kevin Iole, Bob Arum of Top Rank told him the negotiations for the November super-fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao are finished, and the final contract proposal has been sent over to Mayweather awaiting his approval.
Richard Schaefer of Golden Boy promotions, Bob Arum and Todd duBoef of Top Rank, negotiated in privacy this time around with little media interaction concerning the on going negotiations. The random blood testing and purse split have been resolved but the go ahead is up to Floyd Mayweather Jr. who might take up to 2-years off from boxing.
Arum doesn’t know if Floyd Mayweather will be willing to fight this year and if the fight doesn’t get made for November they will have a problem since Manny Pacquiao has stated he only wants one more fight in November and then retire from boxing to focus on politics in his native Philippines.
If a Floyd Mayweather fight doesn’t get made for November Bob Arum will move on and pair Manny Pacquiao up with either Antonio Margarito or a rematch with Miguel Cotto for his WBA Jr. middleweight title.
