Top Rank presents: “Latin Fury 15” Chavez Jr. Vs. Duddy live Saturday June 26 on Pay-per-view.
Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (40-0-1, 30 KOs) is the son of Mexican boxing legend, Julio Cesar Chavez, and he will take on durable Irish John Duddy (29-1, 18 KOs) in a main event 12-round middleweight bout.
Chavez is looking to turn over a new leaf after a string of horrible performances, he visited one of Manny Pacquiao’s training sessions at the famous Wild Card boxing club in Hollywood and was so impressed at the type of training Pacquiao endured that he decided to hire trainer Freddie Roach and strength and conditioning coach Alex Ariza for his fight with Irish John Duddy.
Also on the Pay-per-view card is Mexican legend and former Manny Pacquiao foe, Marco Antonio Barrera (65-7, 43 KOs), who is fighting Brazilian boxer Adailton De Jesus (26-4, 21 KO) in a 10-round lightweight bout. Barrera is 36-years old and past his best years, after losing to British boxing star, Amir Khan, in 2009, Marco Antonio Barrera is still chasing his dream of being the first Mexican boxer to win 4 weight division titles.
The “Latin Fury 15” Pay-per-view broadcast starts at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT and the event is taking place at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.
