During an interview for Philippine Inqurier, Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao, the 7-division champion, gave his opinion on his current opponent, Antonio Margarito’s, excuse that he didn’t have any idea his trainer, Javier Capetillo, was putting plaster-like inserts in his gloves before the Mosley fight.
“I don’t believe him (Antonio Margarito),” Pacquiao said. “Of course he knows about that (illegal hand-wraps). Its his hands and he watches the taping.”
Manny believes even though Margarito did the crime he paid his dues (served his year suspension by the California State Athletic Commission) and deserves a second chance.
“I hope he learned his lesson and will not repeat the same mistake.”
Pacquiao will fight Margarito on November 13 at Cowboys Stadium and will make sure to request extra representatives including his trainer Freddie Roach to observe Margarito during his pre-fight hand wrapping before their HBO Pay-per-view bout.
