Tune into HBO Championship Boxing tonight and watch current WBC 175-pound champion, Jean Pascal , defend his belt against the undefeated former WBC light-heavyweight champion, “Bad” Chad Dawson.
Pascal and Dawson are promising future stars in the boxing world, both are under 30 years of age and could help carry the sport once Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao retire.
Dawson is the number 1 light-heavyweight in the world and is not afraid to face Pascal in his hometown of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. If Chad Dawson is successful against Pascal, he would like to return to Montreal and face the IBF super middleweight champ Lucian Bute at a catch-weight fight of 172-pounds.
Jean Pascal has only one defeat and that’s to British boxer, and current super-middleweight Super Six competitor, Carl “The Cobra” Froch. If Pascal retains his title, a rematch against Froch at light-heavyweight would help Pascal clear that blemish from his record.
