I just finished watching the weigh-in’s for the Manny Pacquiao vs. Antonio Margarito fight and I have never been more happy and confident in my entire life with my boxing prediction, which is Margarito by knock-out in round three.
I first thought the 150-pound catchweight would drain Margarito but after the weigh-in’s today, I have to say that Margarito looked ripped and ready to go, while Manny Pacquiao looked like a little kid and weighed in way under the 150-pound limit at 144.6 pounds.
There is no doubt in my mind that Margarito will crush Manny Pacquiao on November 13. Manny has gotten by as a media hype job fighting weight drained opponents and guys who were ripe for the picking. All of these media men and casual fans were trying to put him above the true pound-4-pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr., on Saturday night people better praise Mayweather and give him his props as the best and baddest man in boxing when Pacquiao loses.
Finally, Manny Pacquiao will be getting a taste of his own medicine because this time he will be in against a guy who will bully him and not fear his punches. Margarito isn’t the most technical fighter but he is in shape, throws a lot of punches, hungry, and ready to redeem himself.
The size of Margarito will be a major difference in this fight and for you people who bought into the Pacquiao hype and think he is this incredible fighter who beats giants, you are gonna be sorry to find out that your favorite fighter isn’t all that great.
Pacquiao will probably come in at 145-146 pounds and Margarito will balloon up to 160-165 on fight night and combine that with his height, reach, and power advantage, Pacquiao is pretty much a dead man.
Pacquiao’s body looked horrible, usually when he weighs in very low his body is shredded but at Fridays weigh-in he was soft and very tiny compared to Antonio Margarito.
I’m not even a Margarito fan and I hate rooting for the guy because of his handwraps case and his jokes on Freddie Roach, but this time I don’t want to hear any excuses by Pacquiao fans when he loses.
All this build up and all this hype with Manny Pacquiao on 60-Minutes, Jimmy Kimmel, TIME Magazine, HBO 24/7, will all come crumbling down by a Tijuana Tornado on Saturday night at Dallas Cowboys stadium.
Two guys who are volume punchers with horrible defense, the bigger guy will always win. Size Does Matter! unless you are Floyd Mayweather Jr. the real Giant Killer.
