On Saturday night November 20, 2010 HBO World Championship Boxing presents a middleweight title fight between Sergio Martinez and Paul Williams and a full fight replay of Pacquiao vs. Margarito.
Paul Williams and Sergio Martinez fought in 2009 in what was called the “Fight of the Year”, Williams squeezed out the decision in the first fight, but the fight was hard fought and could have went either way.
Since then, Sergio Martinez went on to beat Kelly Pavlik for the middleweight championship of the world, and Paul Williams beat Kermit Cintron in an awkward and unusual victory when Cintron flew out of the ring in the fourth round causing the ringside doctor to call a halt to the bout, giving Williams the points victory since he was ahead on the score cards.
This rematch between Sergio Martinez vs. Paul Williams will be contested at a catchweight of 158-pounds for the WBC and WBO 160-pound middleweight titles. The fight will take place at Boardwalk Hall, Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Airing before the Martinez vs. Williams bout is a full fight replay of last Saturday’s huge HBO PPV of Manny Pacquiao vs. Antonio Margarito.
