Why is Manny Pacquiao Ducking Juan Manuel Marquez?

Manny Pacquiao said he has no interest in a third fight with Juan Manuel Marquez because the fight won’t grab the public’s interest and it wouldn’t generate big pay-per-view numbers. Instead he is more interested in fighting Shane Mosley, a typical choice for Manny Pacquiao, an old, washed up, and past it fighter to make Manny look amazing.

Who is Pacquiao kidding? Does he read the message boards and boxing websites? The man has no consideration for the boxing fans. If  he truly was the peoples champion then fight the fighters the people want to see.

The majority of boxing fans wanted him to fight Juan Manuel Marquez a third time after Pacquiao won a controversial gift decision in their rematch. The majority of top boxing trainers and analysts believe Marquez won both fights with Pacquiao and counter punched him with ease because the Pacman has no head movement.

It is clear as day that Manny Pacquiao is in on it too. He is in on the matchmaking process that people claim is only Freddie Roach and Bob Arum’s control, but Manny isn’t a slave because behind the meeting room doors he has to give his go ahead and pick who he wants to fight next, and Manny’s number one choice is to fight a washed up Shane Mosley who is coming off two horrible performances against Floyd Mayweather and Sergio Mora. Manny never fights prime fighters, guys who are currently dominating and on winning streaks.

In 2008, Manny  got scared when Marquez flew out to the Philippines with a contract and called him out face to face like a real man and asked him for a third fight. Manny was tongue tied and couldn’t answer. He acted like a little boy and started turning red telling Marquez to ask his promoter and the fans in the Arena booed Pacquiao and were cheering for Marquez. You know it’s bad when your own countrymen said the other guy won or they are cheering for him. Manny would have gained more respect if he said “you know what Marquez let’s get it on, I am so tired of your trash talk. I accept your challenge to shut you up for good.”

The real reason why Pacquiao is ducking Marquez is because he knows Marquez is the better boxer and he was lucky to survive 24 rounds with him and get gifts in both fights. Manny knows Marquez has given him his toughest fights and Marquez’s style of counter punching scares the Pacman.

Marquez is a real fighter. He fights prime guys with winning records and with an actual pulse and at their weight class. Manny Pacquiao hand picks his opponents and is no longer a fighter who fights for legacy or for the fans, he is a fighter who only fights for paychecks.  Manny “The Duck-Man” Pacquiao that is his new nickname.
