It didn’t take long for legendary boxing promoter Bob Arum to make Manny Pacquiao’s next fight. Pacquiao had the final say on who he would fight, and during his 32nd birthday bash last week Arum showed Manny a list of opponents to pick from: would it be Shane Mosley, Juan Manuel Marquez or young gun Andre Berto?
From the looks of it, Manny Pacquiao chose Shane Mosley for his May 7, 2011 opponent at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
According to popular Filipino website Manila Bulletin the rumored fight between Shane Mosley and Manny Pacquiao is almost a done deal.
Bob Arum, Pacquiao’s promoter, said he just got done speaking with Mosley’s new adviser James Prince and all Prince has to do now is show the documents and contract to Mosley for approval and the deal will be finalized if everything is agreed upon.
There were no negotiations with the Floyd Mayweather Jr. camp despite Arum stating to the media that a Floyd Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao fight would be first priority.
