A Las Vegas judge reissued a Dec. 8 arrest warrant for undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. stemming from an assault on security guard Shayne Smith who claims the boxer poked him in the face over a parking citation.
The reinstatement was sought by prosecutors who argued Thursday that Floyd Mayweather was given special treatment and that the boxer has a history of dangerous behavior and should be arrested and not given a pass due to his celebrity.
Floyd Mayweather has been in hot water with the law since opting out of a fight with Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao.
Police Officer Bill Cassel told the AP that Mayweather peacefully turn himself in or face arrest at any time.
