WBC light heavyweight champion Jean Pascal from Canada will defend his title against the legendary Philly fighter Bernard “B-Hop” Hopkins on SHOWTIME Saturday night, Dec. 18, 2010 from the Pepsi Coliseum in Quebec City, Canada.
The age and youth is on the 28-year-old Pascal’s side, but the wisdom and experience is what the 45-year-old Hopkins is banking on to win him this fight and the WBC 175-pound title. If Hopkins does win, it makes him the oldest boxer in history to win a major world title, surpassing George Foreman who was 45 years and 10 months when he knocked out heavyweight champion Michael Moorer in 1994, Hopkins will turn 46-years-old on January 16, 2011.
Also, Former IBF junior welterweight champ Paulie Malignaggi of New York will make his welterweight debut on the Pascal vs. Hopkins card against Michael Lozada.
