After Floyd Mayweather Jr. beat Shane Mosley, the Manny Pacquiao haters were saying Pacman and Freddie Roach were scared to fight Shane Mosley. The haters and Floyd Mayweather fanboys were pointing out that Freddie Roach didn’t want Manny to fight Mosley but Floyd Mayweather had the guts to fight him and win.
They used that reasoning to big up Floyd Mayweather’s accomplishments. But now they are saying Shane Mosley is already an old man and it is now wrong for Manny Pacquiao to fight Mosley. I bet if Andre Berto or Tim Bradley wanted to fight Shane Mosley, there would be no backlash, only when it’s Pacquiao people complain.
Every time Manny Pacquiao fights, it seems someone always has something to complain about. These type of Pacquiao haters always find a reason to discredit him. Read my List Of Reasons Why Some People Hate Manny Pacquiao.
The same people complaining about Pacquiao vs. Mosley being a crappy match are the same ones who were hyping up the Tim Bradley vs. Devon Alexander the best fighting the best fight, that wound up putting people to sleep and not attracting new fans to the sport.
What helps boxing is exciting fighters and exciting fights. Shane Mosley ain’t washed up, he isn’t in his prime but he is still dangerous and if matched with another fighter who will trade punches with him like Manny Pacquiao, Mosley puts on a show.
If Manny Pacquiao picked Andre Berto or Juan Manuel Marquez over Shane Mosley, the Floyd Mayweather fans will use that as fuel to say Manny was ducking old man Mosley, and say how Floyd wasn’t scared to fight him, while Manny and Freddie Roach were.
