How Ironic is it that the Manny Pacquiao fanatics, sometimes called Pac huggers, are complaining about racism against Filipinos and Manny Pacquiao.
I am not singling out the entire group of Pacquiao fans, but if you notice and followed this Pacquiao vs. Mayweather feud, most of the racist comments are left by Pacquiao fans.
On countless YouTube videos made in favor or to acknowledge Floyd Mayweather Jr and his greatness, you can read the comments below and find plenty of racist and insulting comments are directed at the person in the video and at Floyd Mayweather and black people.
Comments like Monkey, Gorilla, The N-Word, Gayweather, Crackhead, Kentucky Floyd Chicken, Big Lips Baboon, and other insulting comments that I can’t even post because they are so vulgar. They also like to judge a whole group of people and say, things like “black people are all criminals and liars,” and “what else do you expect from a black person they do nothing but lie and steal”.
It’s kind of hard to feel any sympathy for these people when they don’t help their case by using racial slurs themselves. How can you be so one sided and cry about racism but you use racism and throw insults at people you disagree with?
If you look at articles on different boxing websites, you will see so many racist comments attacking black people and Mayweather on the comments section of the article. When I submit an article to NowBoxing.com sometimes I think about asking to have the comments section closed because I’ve seen so many racist comments attacking peoples articles, there is even a disclaimer on the bottom of the articles saying “Please refrain from leaving any Racist, Profane or Derogatory comments” but they still post racist comments.
I guess Muhammad Ali saying “I Ain’t Got No Quarrel With The VietCong… No VietCong Ever Called Me N#gger,” doesn’t hold true anymore, times sure have changed now.
Why can’t some of these Pacquiao fans just debate civilly without throwing out racist slurs, and attacking someones family and an entire race of people as criminals? This is just boxing, it’s just a sport, and shouldn’t be taken so seriously, if Manny Pacquiao can let the criticism about his career go, why can’t you?
