The self proclaimed cash king of boxing, Floyd “Money” Mayweather, reportedly demanded $100 million US dollars to fight current pound for pound king Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao.
The report came from Manny Pacquiao’s official website MPboxing.com and a YouTube video showing Top Rank head honcho Bob Arum discussing the Nonito Donaire situation with Golden Boy, Manny Pacquiao’s training for Mosley and his next possible fight with either Juan Manuel Marquez or Floyd Mayweather Jr.
Bob Arum was visiting Manny’s training camp in Baguio, Philippines during an open media workout and during his media Q and A he touched on the Pacquiao vs. Mayweather fight and if the fight will ever happen, and Arum revealed that Mayweather asked for a ridiculous amount of money to the tune of $100 million to fight Pacquiao. The only way Floyd gets $100 million is if Pacquiao fights for free.
This is a clear duck move by Floyd. First he came up with the random Olympic style drug testing for the first negotiations with Pacquiao, then, he said no more 14-day cut off he wanted the random blood tests all the way up to the day of the fight, after the second round of negotiations which he denied any involvement he went on vacation, now he wants $100 million to fight? If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, looks like a duck, it must be a duck!
The guy clearly doesn’t want to fight the Pacman, when will the Floyd Mayweather sympathizers realize their man is scared to fight a guy who has a chance to beat him? Mayweather is waiting for Manny to lose! He is hoping Shane Mosley knocks him out so he doesn’t have to fight him. The only way Floyd would even consider a fight with the Pacman is if he wins but looks horrible in the Mosley fight, but if Manny looks amazing and can take Mosley’s best shot, Floyd will continue to avoid him.
