It seems Los Angeles Laker’s star forward Ron Artest still believes the super fight between Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao and Floyd “Money” Mayweather will become a reality.
During a post game interview after the Lakers defeated the Phoenix Suns in triple overtime with a score of 139-137 in one of the more exciting NBA basketball games of the season, Ron Artest, claims he called Top Rank promoter Bob Arum, who is currently in the Philippines watching his prized pugilist Manny Pacquiao train for his upcoming May 7 fight versus Sugar Shane Mosley, and Bob asked him what would be the best way to promote a potential fight with Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather, Artest then called up teammate Kobe Bryant and told him let’s do three overtimes to help promote a Pacquiao vs. Mayweather fight.
Ron Ron is known for joking around, but all in all, it’s a pretty good publicity stunt for a super fight that many boxing fans don’t believe will happen after a couple of failed negotiations killed the fight from materializing.
Good to see Ron Artest still has faith in the match.
