We all love the sport of boxing and have our favorite fighters to watch, if our favorite boxing idol has been criticized we should ask ourselves “WHY do they criticize him??”
Boxing is a sport meant to entertain the fans. We idolize a boxer based on his performances inside and outside the ring and that boxer can be a role “MODEL” for the youths who dream of being boxers too. A boxer that entertains for fan’s money (buying tickets and so on). Someone who does not think for himself alone.
Why do many people like Manny Pacquiao? Manny entertains spectators whether you are his fans or not. Outside the ring, Manny Pacquiao is not insulting his opponents rather praising them. Inside the ring, if he sees that his opponent has received too many hard punches that could hurt his him, he even tries to call the attention of the referee to stop the fight. If his opponent is Knocked out, he tries to help him up.
If you witness and respect all of these good gestures, then how can you not like Manny Pacquiao?
Considering his past, you will realize he was brought up from a God fearing family who knows how to respect and have compassion for others.
These are only some of his good behaviors why we idolize him because of his positive attitude inside and outside ring.
To those Floyd Mayweather Jr. fans, nobody questions your reasons why you like Mayweather, that’s your choice and your right.
What we should do as boxing fans is compromise and try to convince both parties (Floyd and Manny) to fight and that’s the only fight we ask for!!!
