Another hilarious joke of an article by Don Donatello the biased Pacquiao fanboy blogger.
He wrote an article calling for the boycott of Floyd Mayweather vs. Victor Ortiz, yet he is okay with every single one of Manny Pacquiao’s mismatched fights.
He was probably okay with having Antonio Margarito a man who committed the ultimate boxing sin in loading his gloves fighting Manny Pacquiao, but for some reason he doesn’t want people to support Floyd Mayweather Jr. who like every other fighter is just trying to earn a living and get it while the getting is good.
These diehard Pacquiao fans lack logic, they also will watch any fight that Pacquiao fights even if it is a match up that people didn’t want to see in the first place like the Shane Mosley fight, a farce that I refused to watch and really deserved a boycott, and what happened? I was right, it was a horrible PPV, instead of fighting they played patty cake for 12 rounds and had people booing all night.
I also wrote an article asking Manny Pacquiao to fight a young up and comer like Victor Ortiz. Someone who will give him an actual challenge. Read my article here: Will Manny Pacquiao Fight ‘Vicious’ Victor Ortiz Next?
Now that Floyd Mayweather Jr. comes out of a long lay off and takes on the dangerous and credible opponent Victor Ortiz and these biased Pacquiao fans are calling for a boycott? Well the only ones who are calling for a boycott are the Pacquiao fans from the Philippines. Don Donatello asked all Filipinos to boycott the fight because Floyd is racist. I guess he is okay with some of his fellow countrymen leaving racist comments directed at other races, but it is only wrong when it is directed at his own people? Go figure.
I like watching Manny Pacquiao fight, he is very exciting, but his fans are making it hard to enjoy watching him along with his promoter giving him easy fights that are not challenging. I don’t mind the Pacquiao vs. Juan Manuel Marquez fight, I will order that fight, but I wish that Manny fought Marquez at 135 or 140- pounds instead of a catchweight of 144-pounds just to make it fair.
I will not boycott Mayweather vs. Ortiz and many other boxing fans and casual fans won’t either because it’s a good match-up, Floyd is taking on a hungry young lion coming off a big win. I haven’t been able to say the same about Manny Pacquiao in a long time and he is supposed to be the pound-for-pound best boxer in the world today.
This boycott for Mayweather vs. Ortiz will fail miserably because the only ones crying out for this are Filipino Pacquiao fans in the Philippines who don’t even order boxing pay-per-views anyway, so, it will not put a dent in Mayweathers pocket at all or hurt the pay-per-view sales.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Manny Pacquiao vs. Juan Manuel Marquez doesn’t break a million buys and people boycott that fight after they wasted money on Pacquiao vs. Mosley a fight that was hyped up to be a toe to toe war but ended up one of the worst pay-per-views of all time.
