I check news updates all the time on my cell phone, and the media and even the law are always hounding Floyd Mayweather Jr., they never let this man have any peace at all. The American legal system seems to be favoring Manny Pacquiao, a foreigner who isn’t even American, they have denied Floyd’s request for a postponement of this ridiculous defamation suit filed by team Pacquiao so he can focus on the press tour and training for his upcoming fight with Victor Ortiz. This lawsuit stemmed over Floyd Mayweather requesting Olympic style drug testing and having his suspicions on why Manny wouldn’t take the random tests. I love all races, and ethnicities, but it’s kind of funny how a Filipino who isn’t even an American citizen and doesn’t even donate to American charities is getting more love in America than Floyd Mayweather Jr. who was born here and represented the Red, White and Blue in the Olympics.
Almost every article that concerns Mayweather is negative calling him a coward, and if you write a positive article on Floyd Mayweather, people will call your article garbage and leave insults. They will always praise articles on Manny Pacquiao, and articles saying negative things about Floyd, but if you write something negative about Pacquiao be ready to get degraded like you are less than human.
If the Filipinos can support their own, why don’t Americans get behind Floyd Mayweather Jr. the greatest boxer of our time and show him some love and support?
You can watch soccer games and international boxing matches, and the fans in the audience will get behind their countries team or fighter and proudly cheer them on, but in America you have a lot of American boxing fans cheering for Manny Pacquiao and booing the hardworking American Floyd Mayweather Jr.
Sometimes it feels like we are living in the 1950’s again.
