Is Floyd “Money” Mayweather Jr. trying to set the record for how many lawsuits he can rack up in a given time period?
Another new lawsuit has just popped up and this time a boxing fan named Anthony Cliff was supposedly assaulted by Floyd Mayweather’s bodyguards, just for asking him when he is going to fight Manny Pacquiao, a fighter that Floyd Mayweather has avoided like the plague, but enjoys bragging about Pacquiao being easy to beat without actually stepping in the ring to face him. Floyd came out of retirement to fight the green WBC champ Victor Ortiz instead of trying to negotiate with Team Pacquiao for the megafight everyone wants to see.
According to the report by the Associated Foreign Press, Floyd Mayweather felt Cliff was being very disrespectful asking him about the Pacquiao fight and gave his bodyguards the go ahead signal which was a “Thumbs Down” gesture for them to beat up the man.
Cliff’s lawyer Afshin Tadayon had this to say about the question that Mayweather felt was disrespectful toward him, “Not only does Mr. Cliff want to see a fight against Mr. Pacquiao, but so do many boxing fans,” Tadayon said. “So, it was just a question.”
It seems Mayweather’s diva personality and irritability shows up anytime the mention of Manny Pacquiao’s name is brought up. I find it weird that Floyd enjoys insulting Pacquiao with slurs and “take the test” comments, but anytime someone asks him something he doesn’t like or finds insulting he throws a temper tantrum, and gets his bodyguards to do his dirty work for him….real tough.
If Floyd is tired of hearing Manny Pacquiao’s name I suggest he stop trying to give people this false hope that he is going to fight Pacquiao next, only to go back into semi retirement after collecting another big payday with an opponent not named Pacquiao.
If Floyd really did have this boxing fan roughed up over a simple question regarding Pacquiao, then Floyd will need a huge army to take care of the millions of boxing fans around the world who are wondering the same thing…”When are you going to man up Floyd, and fight Manny Pacquiao?”
