LAS VEGAS, NV – This Saturday, July 9, Grapplers Quest hosts the 20th West Grappling and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Open Championships at Sports Center (located at 121 East Sunset Road) in Las Vegas, Nevada. The mega-grappling event will be recorded for our nationally syndicated television show, “Best of Grapplers Quest” on FightNow TV. The event will feature 300 amateur and professional Submission Grappling, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Judo and Wrestling divisions featuring “America’s Best Lightweight” $1,000 4-Man Tournament with Jeff Glover (UFC Fan Expo Defending Superfight Champion), Alfredo Barum (Pan American Champion), Justin Rader (Lovato Jr. Black Belt and ADCC North American Trials Champion) will battle for America’s #1 Rated Lightweight Grappler under 160 lbs.
Another huge division at Grapplers Quest West will be the $1,000 Advanced Absolute division featuring 2010 World’s Best Grappler and Defending Absolute Champion, Joao Assis, 2-time UFC Fan Expo Superfight Champion, Bill Cooper, 2009 UFC Fan Expo Las Vegas Absolute Champion, Jeff Glover, and current ADCC Trials Champion and the East Coast’s #1 RATED Grappler and 7-time Grapplers Quest Absolute Champion, Rustam Chsiev. On Facebook, Vinny Magalhaes vowed to jump into this division as well. Being that it is an open absolute division, anyone can enter, more than 40 competitors expected, meaning 5-6 matches to the finals.
Amateur Tournament is open to all ages and skill levels, teams and independents.

Grappling is the fast-paced ground fighting art of Mixed Martial Arts. It combines the throws of Olympic Judo, the takedowns of Greco Roman and Freestyle Wrestling, Leg Locks from Sambo, and other Submissions from Brazilian Jiu Jitsu like arm bars, shoulder locks and chokes.
Saturday’s grappling tournament in Las Vegas will raise funds for http://AutismRadio.org, a 501c3 charitable organization benefiting Autism Awareness, Family Support, Education, Treatment and Autism Talk Radio Network. One-dollar from each ticket pre-sold and pre-registration competitor fee entry will be donated. The Sports Center Las Vegas has also graciously donated the venue to benefit AutismRadio.org as well. Fighter Registration is open to all independent competitors and teams and will be accepted at the door.
Competitors of all ages and skill levels participate in this event, which is open to all grappling styles, in order to determine the best grapplers in the the Western United States region.
