I decided to do a little fun article on the top current boxers Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather, Manny ‘Pac-Man’ Pacquiao, and ‘Vicious’ Victor Ortiz and their musical ability.
We all know in terms of boxing ability Floyd Mayweather Jr. is the best, he has the most talent and skill compared to the other two boxers. Victor Ortiz is the second most skilled and Manny Pacquiao is the least skilled boxer. But when it comes to their singing and musical ability I wonder who is better of the bunch?
We’ve seen Manny Pacquiao singing on Jimmy Kimmel live but mostly for comedic value (people laugh when he sings or change the channel to save their ears from further agony) like with his duet with comedian Will Ferrell. Floyd Mayweather has his own record label Philthy Rich Records and is good friends with Rap Superstar 50 cent. Victor Ortiz is just getting his feet wet in music and recently released the hip hop song titled “Catwalk.”
Below I posted songs from each boxer and I would like you the boxing fans to be the judge, be honest, who has the better music: Mayweather, Pacquiao, or Ortiz?
Money Mayweather’s rap song
The song “Catwalk” by Victor Ortiz
Manny Pacquiao singing Lahing Pinoy in his native tongue
Pacquiao on Kimmel Live singing “Sometimes when we touch” by Dan Hill
I’d have to say if I were to rank these songs in order of best to worst, I would say Floyd Mayweathers song is the best, followed by Victor Ortiz’ Catwalk, and the worst of the bunch is Manny Pacquiao, his voice is out of tune, he could use his singing as ring walk music to gain an unfair advantage over his opponents by hurting their ears before the fight.
I’m not saying Mayweather is the greatest musical talent, because truthfully speaking, these guys should really stick to boxing and not music, but Floyd and Victor’s song’s are more tolerable than Manny Pacquiao’s singing.
