Your wallet is $70 dollars lighter, you were bored, Ortiz did not win, and your hopes were not met. How disappointing is that? Your only solace is that Victor Ortiz tried very hard with a dancing partner that refused to dance.
Victor Ortiz is going to give a very valiant and good account of himself this Saturday night. And he will give Floyd Mayweather a good struggle. But come on, folks, he is not going to win. Some are even saying that he will win by a KO. It’s not going to happen. A KO is the only way Victor Ortiz is going to win; and he will not get any kind of decision win. Ortiz did not KO Andre Berto, but he will KO Mayweather? ALL close rounds will be scored for Floyd Mayweather. For Ortiz to win a round he will have to really dominate Floyd. What is the likelihood of that?
With so many people now writing that the young and green Victor Ortiz will win, it tells me something. It tells me that HBO’s super duper hype machine program, 24/7, has once again did a good job. It even convinced people that the much smaller Juan Manuel Marquez had a chance at beating Floyd Mayweather.
With hundreds of millions of dollars in the balance for the Floyd Mayweather versus Manny Pacquiao fight, the boxing gods are going to ensure that everyone involved have been in the system for a very long time. Boxing is a business first, and second as a sport.
In the video below I provide proof why Victor will not win. Take a look how ineffective Victor is in rounds 1-2 when Lamont Peterson runs and move.
Folks, this is a preview of the Mayweather versus Ortiz fight. It will be 12 rounds that are very similar of the first two rounds in the Ortiz/Peterson fight. And that is what you are going to get for $70 dollars.
Don’t you think that Floyd surfed the Internet to watch some of Ortiz’s fights? I guarantee that Mayweather saw the video above.
Like I said, Victor Ortiz will give a good effort, but he is not going to catch the best runner in boxing. Olympic sprinter and gold medal winner Usain Bolt from Jamaica will be impress with Mayweathers running. Ortiz will do much better at getting close to Mayweather in the later rounds, but Mayweather will still have enough to withstand the rush.
Ortiz will have 1% of winning the close rounds. If he threw 100 punches in a single round, he would have to knock Mayweather down with one punch to win that round. Like I said before, ALL close rounds will be scored for Floyd Mayweather Jr.
As long as the biggest money making fight in history remains in the balance, the boxing gods will give every benefit to Floyd Mayweather Jr. Floyd knows that, why do you think he kept Manny Pacquiao’s name as part of his training camp. Floyd is going to fight Manny Pacquiao, he is just waiting for the right moment. While Pacquiao is grinding his body down by fighting bigger guys, Floyd has been resting and preserving his body. When Floyd sees the wear and tear starts to takes its’ toll on Manny, Floyd will come calling.
Ortiz will have to become the Terminator and do Manny Pacquiao a big favor. If Ortiz can put and sustain constant pressure on Mayweather, he can sap some of the resources that Mayweather has been preserving. But it still does not translate to a win for the young and inexperience Victor Ortiz.
I would love to be wrong about this fight, I wish Victor Ortiz would smash my prediction to my face. But Mayweather is only 34 years old. We have Bernard Hopkins fighting at a high championship level who is close to 50 years in age.
There are two fighters that can beat Mayweather Jr., and he will not be fighting them. Floyd fears the knowledge of one man, Freddie Roach. The one-armed, one-legged Oscar De La Hoya almost beat Mayweather under Roach’s training. Think what would happen if Roach’s students Manny Pacquiao or Amir Khan fought Mayweather Jr.
Once again, I will not be paying to watch a Floyd Mayweather Jr. fight. And I will again be very happy in my decision, again.
