After suffering a career threatening injury to his eye after a grueling 12-round battle with Filipino boxing legend, Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao, Antonio “Tijuana Tornado” Margarito is back in training and ready to get in shape after having eye surgery and getting medical clearance to continue his boxing career.
Antonio Margarito and Miguel Cotto haven’t even went on their promotional press tour yet, but Antonio is already kicking off his training camp with tough endurance training sessions at the Gonzalez Sports Academy.
The Miguel Cotto vs. Antonio Margarito rematch is scheduled for December 3, 2011 at the famed Madison Square Garden in New York, the fight will be contested at a catch weight of 153-pounds as requested by the Cotto camp, and will be for Cotto’s WBA 154-pound Junior Middleweight title.
HBO Sports and HBO Pay-Per-View will be distributing and broadcasting the Cotto vs. Margarito rematch, including a 24/7 series for Cotto vs. Margarito II.
