Juan Manuel Marquez had the crowd on his side after the scorecards were announced in Manny Pacquiao’s favor, as the boos rained down on Pacquiao, Marquez was so disgusted he headed to his dressing room instead of doing the post fight interview with HBO’s Max Kellerman.
After the post fight press-conference where promoter Bob Arum said the fight was so close and controversial they would have to do a 4th fight, a reporter asked Juan Manuel Marquez in Spanish if he was willing to fight Manny Pacquiao again and this is what Marquez had to say:
Would you fight Manny Pacquiao in a fourth fight?
I think if I fight him and this happens again, I’d commit suicide. I would commit suicide because I cannot believe this kind of decision
The Pacquiao vs. Marquez III controversial decision has been a hot topic and still going strong on search engines. Marquez is clearly upset by the decision and feels that he has been robbed of victory three times against Pacquiao. Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao showdown has been the most anticipated match up in boxing but after Pacquiao’s poor performance against Marquez the fight could lose its luster.
