Manny Pacquiao vs. Juan Manuel Marquez is just days away and I’ve been watching the 24/7 shows on HBO and additional short glimpses of their sparring sessions on YouTube to give me an idea of each fighters training camps.
From my observation, I believe that Marquez is looking more muscular, and stronger than ever before. In one of the 24/7 episodes Marquez knocked out his sparring partner with an uppercut and was popping speed bags with ease. Manny Pacquiao on the other hand looked slow and tired, he didn’t have the same type of speed and power we are used to seeing from him and his sparring partners were frustrating him and able to keep him at range. Also a big observation is Manny using the same predictable double right jab followed by the left hand — Juan Manuel Marquez will counter that easily.
Look at how sluggish and predictable Manny Pacquiao is in this short sparring footage provided by MP8.ph
I’ve been telling everyone for years already that Manny Pacquiao is the same fighter, he just fights guys who are tailor made for his style. When this third fight with Marquez happens, you will see a continuation of the first two fights but this time Juan Manuel Marquez will be the one to hurt Pacquiao and drop him.
Whatever Marquez new training program is for this fight, it is clearly working from the muscle size and power gained by Marquez in training. When Juan Manuel Marquez beats up Manny Pacquiao, I don’t want to hear the excuses and false accusations being thrown at Marquez about steroids.
Give Marquez his credit and say he was just the better fighter and if you want to give credit to Alex Ariza and Pacquiao using new conditioning and nutrition techniques as the reason for being so strong in his climb in weight — give that same credit to Marquez and say his new conditioning trainer and the supplements he is using (not steroids) for his destruction of the Pacman. Marquez is not playing around and with the added size comes the power and he wants to really knock Manny Pacquiao out this time so he doesn’t get robbed again on the scorecards.
If I am wrong and Manny Pacquiao knocks out Marquez or beats him easily it has nothing to do with Pacquiao being an improved boxer, it will be because the 38 year old Juan Manuel Marquez couldn’t handle the weight gain and his age caught up with him.
