I hear more people talking about this UFC event on Fox between the heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez and Junior Dos Santos than they are talking about the Manny Pacquiao vs. Juan Manuel Marquez 3 fight on Saturday.
Both fights are on the same night but the UFC has there event at around 6 PM Pacific time when the pay-per-view for Pacquiao-Marquez starts. I don’t even watch mixed martial arts all that much, I’ll catch Rampage Jackson, Jon Jones, Anderson Silva and Kimbo Slice cats like that, but I don’t really follow it much at all because of all that grappling stuff. This time I will tune in because I seen the countdown show and highlights of these two guys and both of them like to bang and there is no way this UFC on FOX is going to fail because those guys both got a high knockout ratio.
Manny Pacquiao is just going to struggle again with Marquez and the 24/7 for this event wasn’t even exciting to me, they didn’t have any clubbing or drama on there. Floyd Mayweather Jr. made 24/7 what it is today and if Mayweather ain’t on 24/7 nobody cares.
Did I mention the UFC on FOX Velasquez vs. Dos Santos is free? That’s enough for me to check it out. Pacquiao cannot compete with Floyd when it comes to pay-per-view buys and excitement and this pay-per-view is going to lose a lot of viewers to the free UFC pay-per-view.
I think after both events finish people will be saying that the UFC event was more exciting and memorable because it was exciting but the people who wasted their money on Pacquiao vs. Marquez will regret paying for it and not watching the UFC for free after they hear about the action packed heavyweight title fight. The only thing that would make the Pacquiao vs. Marquez fight good is if Juan Manuel Marquez knocks Manny out cold so Floyd doesn’t have to worry about this media creation any more.
