Rising British boxing star Kell Brook will fight Matthew Hatton the younger brother of Ricky Hatton in a 12 round welterweight bout live from Motorpoint Arena, Sheffield, Yorkshire, United Kingdom on Saturday, March 17, 2012.
The 25-year-old undefeated Kell Brook (26-0, 18KOs) hails from Sheffield, Yorkshire and is considered one of the top welterweight prospects from the UK. Manchester native Matthew Hatton (42-5-2, 16KOs) will be Brook’s toughest test to date, Hatton went the distance with a much bigger Saul “Canelo” Alvarez and lost the decisions, if Brook can look impressive against Hatton he would like to step up in class and fight some of the higher ranked welterweights in the world like Bolton’s Amir Khan, Manny Pacquiao, Andre Berto, Victor Ortiz, Devon Alexander and Timothy Bradley.
