On Saturday March 3rd, the IBF, IBO, WBA, and WBO heavyweight world boxing champion Wladimir Klitschko will defend his belts against former cruiserweight champion Jean-Marc Mormeck live from the ESPRIT arena, Düsseldorf, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany.
For Wladimir Klitschko this win is important for him because it would signify his 50th knockout victory if he is able to stop Jean-Marc Mormeck on Saturday, and it would be his 15th straight victory since his last defeat in 2004 to Lamon Brewster. For Jean-Marc Mormeck he has nothing to lose, like every other Klitschko opponent he is the underdog and will be undersized having weighed in at 216 and standing only 5 foot 11 to Wladimir’s 6 foot 6 and 245 pounds of muscle.
Most boxing fans and writers are calling this just another mismatch for Wladimir Klitschko but 50,000 people will attend the fight live in Germany showing just how much star power Wladimir has over there.
The Wladimir Klitschko vs. Jean-Marc Mormeck heavyweight championship boxing match on Saturday, March 3, 2012 will be broadcast live on RTL in Germany and in the United States on EPIX at 4:30 PM ET. Visit EPIXHD.com for online viewing information.
