UFC 146: Junior Dos Santos vs. Frank Mir is the first ever all heavyweight Ultimate Fighting Championship Pay-Per-View event, and will be headlined by a UFC heavyweight championship main event between the current UFC belt holder Junior Dos Santos and challenger and former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir, the event takes place on May 26, 2012 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Junior Dos Santos is arguably the best boxer in the heavyweight division and undefeated in the UFC having won the title by first round KO over then former champion Cain Velasquez, he looks to add UFC veteran and former champion Frank Mir to his resume. The challenger and former champ Frank Mir is coming off a three fight win streak, and his last fight was a bone snapping victory over Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira at UFC 140 when he broke Nogueira’s arm with a kimura lock, becoming the first fighter to submit Nogueira.
The entire UFC 146 PPV card features top level MMA heavyweights from top to bottom, former champion Cain Velasquez, Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva, Roy Nelson, Dave Herman, Stipe Miocic, up and comer Shane del Rosario, exciting striker Stefan Struve, and hard hitting slugger Lavar Johnson.
