WBO flyweight champion Brian Viloria defends his belt on Saturday(US)/Sunday (Philippines) against long time rival Omar Nino Romero in a rubber-match and Philippines vs. Mexico match-up live from the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City, Metro Manila, Philippines.
Viloria vs. Romero is a trilogy fight, the two boxers fought twice in 2006 with Omar Nino winning their first fight by decision and the rematch was called a no-contest after Omar Nino tested positive for a banned substance. Brian Viloria (30-3, 16 KOs) is a three-time world boxing champion of Filipino descent from Hawaii. Viloria shares the nickname “Hawaiian Punch” with Andy Ganigan who recently passed away, tonight’s fight Viloria will dedicate in the memory of Andy Ganigan the original Hawaiian Punch.
