Boxing fans who couldn’t tune in to watch or those who watched the fight live but want to rewatch the huge Cinco de Mayo HBO boxing pay-per-view Floyd Mayweather vs. Miguel Cotto can watch the replay next week on HBO May 12.
The rebroadcast will feature two junior middleweight championship fights the main event between Mayweather and Cotto and the co-main event of Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez vs. Sugar Shane Mosley.
What fans will see is two brilliant performances by winners Floyd Mayweather and Mexican boxing star Canelo Alvarez, and by the challengers Miguel Cotto and Shane Mosley who both put up valiant efforts in defeat.
Mayweather captured the WBA 154-pound belt, while Canelo retained his WBC 154-pound belt. Cotto gave Mayweather his first real tough dogfight and even bloodied the nose of the undefeated Mayweather. Mosley at 40-years-old and coming off a poor showing against Manny Pacquiao, put up one last fight as he tested what the young Mexican boxing star and Canelo passed with flying colors.
The question that people are asking who will fight Mayweather next? Will it be Manny Pacquiao if he gets past the durable Tim Bradley or will it be the 21-year-old WBC champion Canelo Alvarez for a title unification?
