On June 9th we will have a new star in boxing, his name is Timothy “Desert Storm” Bradley, and he will defeat one of the most overrated fighters in boxing history, Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao, either by decision or TKO stoppage.
Tim Bradley is extremely confident, and he has every right to be confident because Manny Pacquiao is an easy fight, probably the easiest fight for Bradley and for the most money. If I were to fight Pacquiao I would be super confident as well, ever since Mexican legend Juan Manuel Marquez exposed the one dimensional Filipino brawler, he no longer had that aura of invincibility.
When Bradley moved up to welterweight against undefeated Luis Carlos Abregu, he rocked the much bigger man, and was able to take the power from Abregu who actually hits much harder than the Pacman. Bradley showed he is a jack of all trades, he was able to fight on the inside, box on the outside, slip and counter, and throw hard power right hands that wobbled the taller and heavier Abregu. Manny Pacquiao is tiny, his chin is also overrated, he has been knocked out twice and dropped many times at the lower-weight divisions, Bradley might be an inch shorter than Pacquiao but he will be the bigger, stronger man on fight night. I’ve mentioned this before, if you watch the Agapito Sanchez vs. Manny Pacquiao fight, you will see how Pacquiao will look against Bradley on June 9, Bradley fights similar to Sanchez by using angles and his head as a third fist, and if Pacquiao gets cut he looks for a way out and loses his killer instinct. Pacquiao cannot handle adversity, as seen when Juan Manuel Marquez, Erik Morales, and Agapito Sanchez schooled him and confused him in the ring. Pacquiao will miss many punches when he tries to throw those wild combo punches at Bradley, and when he does, Bradley will have a headbutt or a right hand waiting to counter him.
HBO Boxing: Timothy Bradley vs. Luis Carlos Abregu Highlights (HBO)
Bradley isn’t a washed up or drained fighter, the only reason Bob Arum would put a tough undefeated fighter in with Pacquiao is to cash the Pacman out and to secure a new boxing superstar that he hopes will become his new Pay-per-view attraction. Arum dislikes Floyd Mayweather so much that he would rather have Pacquiao lose to his own fighter, than to lose at the hands of a man he despises, that is why we never saw the Pacquiao vs. Mayweather fight because Arum knows his fighter has no chance at all. When you beat a star you become a star, when Pacquiao beat a washed up Oscar De La Hoya he became famous, and when Bradley beats the overrated Pacquiao he will be famous. Let’s just hope Arum won’t overprotect Timothy Bradley the way he has with Manny Pacquiao.
