David Haye vs. Dereck Chisora is one of the most anticipated heavyweight boxing matches in UK history, and it will take place Saturday, July 14, 2012 from the Boleyn Ground, home of the West Ham United Football Club.
The controversial match-up all started in February 2012 when David Haye challenged WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko to a fight during the Vitali Klitschko vs. Dereck Chisora post-fight press conference, Vitali’s manager Bernd Boente shot down Haye’s challenge and insisted he wasn’t worthy of a fight with Vitali because he lost to his younger brother Wladimir Klitschko and claimed a toe injury prevented him from fighting well. Chisora got involved in the verbal exchange and than left the stage to confront Haye, the two exchanged words than Haye smashed a glass bottle on Chisora as he came closer and the two got into a brawl.
The David Haye vs. Dereck Chisora 10-round heavy weight non-title fight is billed as “Licensed to Thrill” and will be televised live in the UK on Boxnation. United States fight fans can watch Haye vs. Chisora fight live on EPIX and online via live stream on EpixHD.com on July 14, at 4:30PM ET/1:30 PT.
