The Ultimate Fighting Championship will hold their first ever UFC event life from Calgary, Canada with UFC 149: Urijah Faber vs. Renan Barao at the Scotiabank Saddledome on July 21.
Former WEC featherweight champion Urijah Faber faces the tough Renan Barao for the UFC Interim Bantamweight Championship (current champion Dominick Cruz is sidelined with an injury). Also on the card is the UFC debut of the former Cuban Olympic Judo competitor and top rated mixed martial arts middleweight Hector Lombard, he will be welcomed by Tim “The Barbarian” Boestch, and heavyweight contender and kickboxing specialist Cheick Kong of France will face heavy handed slugger Shawn Jordan.
