The next opponent for Filipino boxing congressman Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao is still a mystery and fans are wondering if the Pacman will still fight on November 10 or wait until a later date.
Promoter Bob Arum visited Manny Pacquiao in the Philippines to discuss opponents for his upcoming bout, the three options given by Arum were all rematches with either Timothy Bradley who beat Pacquiao in a controversial split decision handing the Filipino pugilist his first loss since 2005, a rematch with Miguel Cotto at a catch-weight of 150-pounds or a fourth fight with Mexican rival Juan Manuel Marquez who still claims to have beaten Pacquiao three times only to get robbed of a victory.
Timothy Bradley recently said to RingTV that he believes Manny Pacquiao doesn’t want any part of him because he is too high risk for the 8 division champion. Bradley also told the Desert Sun that he believes Pacquiao is scared of him. The option that every boxing fan wants to see wasn’t even among those Arum presented to Pacquiao and that is a super fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. who was recently released from jail and started up his own promotional company with rapper 50 Cent called TMT promotions. A fight between Mayweather and Pacquiao is a long shot and most fans have already given up hope of the two ever fighting in the ring, some even claim the fight has already lost its appeal because both fighters are nearing their retirement.
