The Ultimate Fighting Championship presents UFC 150: Benson Henderson vs. Frankie Edgar II on August 11, 2012 at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado.
The main event at UFC 150 will be a rematch between former WEC lightweight champion and current UFC lightweight champion Benson “Smooth” Henderson and former UFC lightweight champion Frankie “The Answer” Edgar. The first time Henderson and Edgar met was in February at UFC 144 in Saitama, Japan, Henderson was able to defeated Edgar in a five round battle and take the belt, this time around Edgar is looking at redemption and is ready to win back the title.
The undercard for UFC 150 will also feature Donald Cerrone vs. Melvin Guillard in a catchweight bout and possible fight of the night match-up, former EliteXC/Strikeforce middleweight champion Jake Shields takes on Ultimate Fighter alum Ed Herman in a middleweight bout, Japanese middleweight powerhouse Yushin Okami fights Buddy Roberts in a middleweight bout, and a featherweight showdown between Justin Lawrence and Max Holloway.
