When Juan Manuel Marquez said he needs a knockout to win against Manny Pacquiao for their fourth fight on December 8th he wasn’t joking around. Recently released footage on October 26, shows Marquez looking very crisp, muscular, and strong in sparring, he also lands a very sharp and powerful straight right hand at his southpaw sparring partner Rocky Santillo that sends him to the canvas. That straight right hand is the weakness of southpaw boxers especially Manny Pacquiao who hasn’t been able to avoid that punch from Marquez in all three encounters.
Marquez is close to 40 years old, but he looks like a 24 year old fighter, his precision, his movement, his timing, and his physique are more impressive now than ever, it’s like he found the fountain of youth. The sparring partner actually did a better job in his sparring session than Manny Pacquiao did against Juan Manuel Marquez in their last fight, it’s pretty sad when a guy who is so called pound for pound like Pacquiao does worse than a sparring partner.
Watch Juan Manuel Marquez drop his sparring partner Rocky Santillo with a counter right hand at 0:33 of this YouTube video:
Marquez is fed up with being robbed three times against Pacquiao, and after seeing Timothy Bradley get a controversial decision, it made Marquez even more bitter and angry. How are they going to give Bradley a decision but not Marquez, when Marquez clearly schooled Pacquiao in all three fights.
This is why Manny Pacquiao is in big trouble come December 8th because Juan Manuel Marquez is going to end all doubts in this fight and really punish Pacquiao for all the bad decisions he was given.
