Showtime Championship boxing heads to the brand new Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on October 20 with a stacked quadruple-header featuring local east coast boxing talent and 4 world championship bouts.
The main event of the evening will be a rematch between undefeated WBC/WBA junior welterweight champion Danny Garcia versus Mexican boxing legend Erik Morales. Garcia coming off a impressive knockout win over Amir Khan to capture the WBA belt, wants to retire Morales for good after being hesitant to finish off the fading legend in their first match up for the vacant WBC 140-pound title. Morales a veteran of boxing and one of the few men to defeat a prime Manny Pacquiao, is also out to proof the critics wrong who say he is washed up and doesn’t have what it takes to defeat a young lion in Garcia.
The undercard will feature three other world title fights, IBF welterweight champion Randall Bailey who knocked out Mike Jones for the belt will defend his title against former 140-pound champion Devon Alexander. Current WBA welterweight champion Paulie Malignaggi who hails from Brooklyn will defend his title against Mexican boxer Pablo Cesar Cano. Undefeated “Kid Chocolate” Peter Quillin will fight undefeated WBO middleweight champion Hassan N’Dam N’Jikam both boxers are 27-0 and someones zero will go.
